Oakley – Administrative Assistant
Oakley moved to Key West for an internship but chose to stay for the laid back atmosphere, fishing, and welcoming climate. All patients benefit from her outgoing personality, superior customer service skills,and excellent attention to detail. Oakley competed at the USA Jr. Olympics and AAU National Championship Tournaments in Volleyball. She is completing her degree in Business Management Experience from Salt Lake Community College this year and can be found hiking or enjoying a variety of water sports when not working. Oakley says there is no better feeling than to see patients leave Isle Smile with a smile on their faces.
Cassandra – Dental Hygienist &Administrative Assistant
Cassandra first came to this office in 2008. Cassandra has been a dental hygienist for more than 16 years and she is one of three hygienists on the staff. She works at our front desk as well. Cassandra graduated in the top 3 percent of her class at Miami Dade Medical Campus for dental hygiene. She has a degree in computer science and an associate in science degree as well as certifications in radiology and nutritional counseling.
Cassandra, who is also known as “CC”, books appointments, assists dentists, provides hygiene, and takes care of insurance and accounting for the office. Cassandra also has pediatric experience for all the little patients. Cassandra is the mother of three children and has been in the Keys for 8 years.
Felicia – Administrative Assistant
Felicia is a military wife who does a little bit of everything in the office. She is certified in radiology and she assists with x-rays as well as accounts receivable as part of the Isle Smile belief in a cross-trained staff. Felicia spent most of her life in Arizona and met the love of her life there. After knowing each other for 6 years, her future husband decided to join the military while Felicia went to study at Grand Canyon University. This couple discovered they couldn’t bear to be apart and they were married 7 months later. They drove to Key West a couple of days after the wedding. Felicia is proud to be working for Isle Smile.
Pedja – Clinical Director
Pedja completed his doctoral dental training in Serbia. He speaks English and Serbian and is studying to earn his U.S. doctorate in dentistry. He loves dentistry and often assists our dentists. Pedja fell in love with Key West and met his future wife here. In his spare time, he plays tennis, watches movies, and travels.
Joseph – Expanded Duty Assistant & Admin
Joseph McDavitt brings 17 years of dental experience to Isle Smile. He is not only an Expanded Duty Assistant but holds an associate degree in Health Information Management. Joseph is licensed in dental radiography and expanded functions for dental auxiliaries as well as fabrication of temporary crowns and bridges. Joseph brings a keen sense of customer service to the day-to-day running of a successful business – and is the former owner of Graffiti, a prominent Duval Street clothing store in Key West. When Joe in not working, he spends his free time strength training, enjoying Bikram yoga, biking, and being a well-rounded traveler.
Evelyn – Dental Assistant
Evelyn moved to Key West from Cuba in 2011 and is actively pursuing her dream to become an orthodontist. She received the 2013 & 2014 Conch Pride award while attending Key West High School where she was also an Honor Roll student. Currently, Evelyn is attending Florida Keys Community College for her AA degree and she has already completed her Dental Assistant certification there. Something she really enjoys about working at Isle Smile and the field of dentistry is her connection with patients and being a part of their lives. She believes there is nothing better than being a great support to people who need medical care. Evelyn is proud of her English and Spanish speaking abilities and looks forward to meeting any and all new challenges in her chosen field.
